Pick a mando! All this snow isn't enough to make me miss my favorite possible WFL format. Unfortunately my VERY flat tire is! Have FUN and if possible save pick a mando for next week!😄

WFL Results - 1/21

Nothing says FUN quite like a round of pick-a-mando in near whiteout conditions! Snow was falling, batteries were dying, mando's were missed, and the card was littered with sixes, but that didn't keep us from enjoying one of the best rounds of the winter. It was a see-saw battle in which each one of us had the lead at one point or another. In the end it was Gary that emerged victorious as we finished the last 2 holes in snowy darkness.

Gary - 2
KenP - 1
Beam - 1

PS - At a nearly deserted Silver Lake following the round, there was discussion of a safari layout so epic that its never even been seriously considered in the past. Stay tuned....
PSS - I've now lost 3 discs this winter at BW. Latest one was hole #12 (just right of the Mando) If anyone finds one, please let me know. My bag is getting light.

WFL 1-20-14

ML may have left early this day, but paid up accordingly, and thus earned 1 WFL pt

Park Ranger Wanda told us Sunday that the middle part of the lake always takes longer to freeze thick enough to go the whole way across, so maybe next week.

Only a 3-week Polar Vortex can create the perfect set of conditions required for "Safari Across the Lake". Next week's WFL match could be a once in a decade opportunity. smiley: eek

Today is 5-Disc Battle Golf if even numbers and 1-Disc if odd.

WFL Results - 1/28

A little Polar Vortex wasn't enough to keep 9 golfers from their Winter Fun. One Disc was the format.

Paul - 1
KenP - 1
Beam - 1
MikeL - 1
Gary - 1
JR - 1
Chas - 1
Tammy - 1
BillC - 2

If conditions are right, we might see some form of "Safari Across the Lake" next week. If not, we'll play 5-Disc Battle Golf if even numbers and MMM if odd. Stay tuned...

If the format is Safari across the Lake, I need a drop zone and realistic penalty strokes. This body is not going near any frozen water.
